Balairung Sari Tabek West Sumatera

Balairung Sari Tabek is located at Nagari Tabek Pariangan, about 11 Km from Batusangkar, West Sumatera. This building is look like "rumah gadang" (Minangkabau traditional house). But, there is no wall and rooms. In the past, this building was used as place for meeting by the traditional leaders. The age of Balairung Sari Tabek about more than 300 years. It was build by Minang architect, Datuk Tantejo Gurhano. 

When you visit to Batusangkar, you should travel to this place also. 

Benteng Van Der Capellen Batu Sangkar West Sumatera

Benteng Van Der Capellen is located at Batusangkar, Tanah Datar, West Sumatera. This fortress was build by Dutch in 1822 when a war between Custom Class (Kaum Adat) and Religion Class (Kaum Agama) which famous as Padri war erupted. Custom Class has asked for helping from the Dutch, so that the Dutch build a fortress there.

Pagaruyung Palace West Sumatera

Pagaruyung Palace or Istano Basa Pagaruyung (Indonesian) is a palace located at Tanjung Emas, Batu Sangkar, Tanah Datar, West Sumatera. This palace is famous tourism object in West Sumatera.

The existed Pagaruyung Palace now is a replica of the real one. The real Pagaruyung Palace is located at Batu patah hill and was burned in 1804. That palace was build again and got burned again in 1966.

To visit Pagaruyung Palace in Batu Sangkar from Padang is needed about 2 hours. You can use travel agent to visit it or ride a taxi. 

Beside Pagaruyung Palace, there are several objects to visit in Batu Sangkar, such as Benteng Van Der Capellen.
